New Quilt! | Modulating Squares

I am so in love with this quilt! I’ve shared with you the design of it, as well as written a quick tutorial of how I used a “quilt as you go” technique to quilt it. I then bound it with bits of all the different colors and took a lot of pictures! 😉

This quilt was design to sit right here, on the chaise, using all the colors of my Autumn Splendor palette. I’ve been slowly changing the colors of this room, dyeing the curtains, the chaise slipcover, cotton duck for a new slipcover for hubby’s chair and pillows for the whole room. As the chaise is my night time perch, this quilt is my snuggle quilt!

I hadn’t even finished taking pictures yet before Stirling claimed his rightful spot:

I then washed and dried it, so there was lots of CRINKLY GOODNESS!!

  1. Everything about your quilt is wonderful! I may have some questions after I read your tutorial tonight because I really want to learn this technique since I’m terrified of FMQ a big quilt!

  2. This is beautiful! Found it after surfing QAYG as my quilts are getting progressively larger and becoming very difficult to FMQ as a whole. Thanks for your tutorial, it looks like just what I’m after. (Haven’t even finished the top.)

  3. Wow, it’s absolutely beautiful! Love the colors and all that stitching!!! Amazing! 🙂
