Time for a Holiday Giveaway

I had a grand time at my featured artist reception yesterday, and some art went to a new home, soย Hooray – it’s time for another giveaway!

Sew Mama Sew has put together a huge list of blogs hosting giveaways this week, if you’ve got some time, head on over and enter some more!

Even though it was 80 degrees out today here in So Cal, I’m in the mood for snow. Last Spring I did some “Faux Snow” dyeing experiments and would love to give one of them away.

Although I may have used a couple of these pieces, the bulk are sitting in a bin marked “pretty pieces”. I know I’ll get around to using them at some point, but I thought it would be nice to share too!

So, if you’d like one of these pretties in your stash, you’ve got 3 ways to enter:

3 ways to enter

  1. Leave a comment telling me which piece is your favorite.
  2. Subscribe to my newsletter (or already be one)ย and leave another comment telling me.
  3. “Like” me on facebook and leave another comment telling me.

NOTE: Comment moderation is turned on, so don’t be worried if your comment doesn’t shop up right away – I have to approve it first!

This giveaway will close Friday the 17th at midnight Pacific, and I will send it out (internationally if necessary) the following Monday!

Good luck!

  13. Black Orchid, wet pleated is amazing!!! Really they’re all so beautiful but I’m drawn to the color and technique on this fabric especially. Thanks so much for sharing!

  14. I have just been reading up on ‘snow’ dyeing. I recently dug my hand dye stuff back out, but put it all back away when I read that it should be above 75 degrees for dyeing…then I read about snow dyeing and I was very intrigued!!

Come tax time I am going to refresh all my dyes, etc. Hopefully we’ll have some late snow!

They are all pretty…but just the name “Earth, Wind and Fire” is enough to grab my attention!

  15. oh, they’re all so beautiful. i think i like the faux snow sunset the best.

i’m so excited to try snow dyeing for the first time very soon.

  16. I love all the faux snow pieces! Especially Black Orchid. I am a purple lover, but shockingly have no batiks in my stash. You could be starting something. ;0)

    Merry Christmas,

    KT

  17. What beautiful colours! It’s so hard to choose, but I think the sunset ones are my favourite- both the faux snow and wet pleated have such rich and deep colours, and I love the way they blend together. Definitely very inspirational!

  18. All gorgeous! I love the Black Orchid ones, but I think the one I would use first is the Sunset Faux Snow–perfect for leaves and Autumn things, and project I’ve had in the back of my mind. Must be fun to make such lovely colors come to life!

  19. I like the Wet Pleated Jewel Tones and the Faux Snow Sunset, but, my goodness, they’re all stunning! Thank you for the giveaway!

  23. All those fabrics look beautiful. I think the faux snow under the bright primaries category is the best. Thanks for the chance to win.

  24. Wow! These colors are gorgeous. It’s hard to say which is my favorite. But if I had to choose one, it would probably be the Earth, Wind and Fire Colorway in the wet pleated design.

  25. Hi. Great fabrics but I think I like the Jewel Tones – dry scrumpled best. Thanks for the giveaway. Caroline
