No, not again with the pictures of roses you say! I can’t help it, they’re just so beautiful. You know, I don’t get out much, right? My world is quite small, and this rose garden is a big part of it…I walk past it every time I leave or enter the house. The roses have just exploded! Just 2 weeks ago the first ones were opening, and now there’s probably 200 roses in different phases.
This week is the break between spring classes and May Term. I of course had big plans, and I’ve spent the bulk of the week doing all sorts of things, most importantly really getting myself organized and ready to teach like a mad-woman these next 4 weeks, but most of the making I had hoped to do didn’t happen. But, now I’m ready to teach, and I’ve got 3 days, I’m hoping I’ll now be able to focus and just get some things made. My moment? I always underestimate how much time stuff takes!
alamodestuff Linda has started a weekly meetup based on taking a moment each week to really notice something as you go about your daily grind life. I need to do this. You may want to too – read more about it here:

I love the roses! They say to me that you take the time to appreciate your surroundings. That’s how you know you aren’t taking things for granted. So important, no matter how busy we are.
I agree with Cyn, you gotta appreciate those surroundings! What is life if not all the small stuff, people, places and things? The roses are gorgeous by the way!
They’re gorgeous! You get out more than I do, and I don’t have a garden – so I appreciate seeing your roses, just wish I could smell them too!
You have so many roses! You must have a green thumb!
It is such a great feeling to be prepared!
