My whirlwind trip to Massachusetts for my nephews wedding was a lot of fun! I got in Saturday morning at 1 AM, and I enjoyed the autumn foliage in my Mom and Step Dad’s backyard:
Beautiful! Unfortunately, a temperature drop the night before caused a LOT of leaves to drop and to continue to drop throughout the day. My brother’s backyard was the site of the ceremony and he spent literally ALL DAY vacuuming leaves off of the lawn! They had decorated the day before with fake autumn leaves, pumpkins, hay bales etc… so the according to my brother SOME leaves were acceptable, but not the huge amount that had fallen, LOL!
Here’s the backyard right before the ceremony:
And here are some pix taken by their awesome photographer Sasha Greenhalgh:
I can NOT believe that the baby at my wedding is now grown up and married himself…..why does time move so quickly????
On top of the wedding itself, I was able to get in a couple of fun meals with family:
It was really great to catch up and visit with my family!!!
The toughest part of the trip was getting home; it started with a long security line at 4AM UGH!!!!!
Luckily, it was just because most of the security folks had just started working, so when they got on duty, the line cleared up quickly.
