May Goals Check-in

We’ve been zooming towards the end of the school year, with all the events that bring (plus, both Liam and Logan’s birthdays are this month as well!) Besides committee work at school, I’m pretty much done with the day job and am transitioning right into more Candied Fabrics type work! We also cooked a TON of food for a baby shower we co-hosted last Sunday, we barely got any pix of that day, we were so busy! I did snap a pic of some of the buns I made for the BBQ pork sliders:

So many slider buns!

Hubby smoked a bunch of pork butt, and I made my famous Boston Baked Beans.  Andrew made a watermelon whale to hold fruit salad:

We had just enough time that day for me to whip up another book basket like I did for my cousin a couple of weeks ago, but no picture of that! (The past 2 showers I’ve got to have been book showers and they’re lovely! Everyone brings a favorite childhood book and the baby starts life with a well stocked library!) It was a great party though, and Nicholle, one of the other co-hosts, managed to snap this pic of Liam and Hubby:

Yep, Liam has topped his father by a good couple of inches!!

Class Preview Day at the Redlands Sewing Center went really well. The FMQ class I’m teaching this month is totally full, and we had to add another class, so there are some spaces left in the rest of the classes I’m offering this Summer and Fall.

So this week is all about ironing A LOT of scarves and finishing 19 sateen clutches.

19 zippers prepped and ready for topstitching...that took forever! #fbp #19SateenClutchesOrBust

Interfacing and fleece fused to every piece, handles and pockets pressed, finally time to start stitching! #fbp #19SateenClutchesOrBust

19 handles! #fbp #19SateenClutchesOrBust

I’ve got a ways to go!!!

  1. Is that the same recipe you used when you used a crockpot? I tried to comment on that post but it wouldn’t let me. Thanks so much.

    1. Sorry, I had to turn off commenting on posts older than 6 months to cut down on spam!

Yes, this recipe works in a crockpot but it may take longer, so allow extra time!

      Everyone LOVES these beans!!!!
