The heat has been awful this month!!! I’ve rediscovered that I can dye in my bathing suit at the end of the day when the entire backyard is shaded, jumping in the pool when it gets too hot and then batching overnight. I usually dye first thing in the morning but it gets sunny back there pretty quickly and so with these temps it’s just too much. This did allow me to get some swatches dyed for my awesome friend/web designer Mary, I’m dyeing a couch slipcover for her, and we’re trying to come up with the some silk scarf colors for her wedding next May!!!!

I can’t believe I got two whole quilts finished this month!!! At some point, hubby and Logan will have the bug off to the painter, at that point it’ll be living room painting time for a week or so. Besides that, I want to design a larger iPad sized version of my cross body bag and…make a few lampshades and light fixtures! I’ve been sourcing lighting parts and think that I may have some to hang (and sell!) in my Art for Heaven’s Sake booth this October! Woohoo!!!!

In other news…Logan got his driver’s license a week and a half ago, and it is WONDERFUL!!!! He can go to art class and bass guitar all by himself, and is happy to make little grocery store runs and errands for me too!!!
