Studio Snapshots | A Free Motion Quilting Sampler Quilt

I’m going to start teaching an advancd free motion class at the Redlands Sewing Center, so I’ve been working on a sampler quilt to use in the class, where I use white thread against bright colors, allowing the patterns to POP! I quickly pulled some fun bright colors and came up with a layout. I snapped a quick picture so I could remember what color went where and then planned out where each quilting patterh I would use so there’d be a rhythm between curvy and more linear designs:
