I’m going to start teaching an advancd free motion class at the Redlands Sewing Center, so I’ve been working on a sampler quilt to use in the class, where I use white thread against bright colors, allowing the patterns to POP! I quickly pulled some fun bright colors and came up with a layout. I snapped a quick picture so I could remember what color went where and then planned out where each quilting patterh I would use so there’d be a rhythm between curvy and more linear designs:
I’m using my Quilt as You Go technique, this is one of the things I’ll teach them in the class:
Yup, there’s my right shoe on the floor, I can’t sew with a shoe one!
I really like the white thread against the bright colors…don’t you??
