Oh my GOODNESS! Last week was crazy busy, but Thursday was my last day of teaching until September, yahoooooo! In May, I teach one class that meets every day for four hours called “Mother Earth Chemistry”. We brew beer, make cheese, and do all sorts of dyeing chemistry. A fun time was had by all! Here are a few pix of some of their results from their final dyed projects:
There are more pix over at my Flickr site.
I’m now counting down the days until my boys are our of school, as soon as they are we’re headed off for a vacation. But before that, I’ve got lots of projects to finish. I’ll be sending some black orchid snow dyed fabric to the winner of my giveaway to Michelle, congrats to her!

That just sounds so fun! Claire says it’s a very modern way of teaching science. Can she come take the class next year? And can she do root beer instead of regular beer?
What a great way to teach science.
congratulations Michelle.
Thank you for what you do. I enjoy it so much. I love to free motion quilt. Not so good yet but this is what I love to do. I think I might try dying fabric next if I find out the easiest way for me. Thank you again so much, I love your work.
