My internet friend Amy dreamed this up a almost four years ago now, it’s an online quilt show where blogger’s post a picture of a quilt and talk about the story of that quilt. (Here’s a post from when I interviewed her on my blog a couple of years ago). Here is Amy’s description of it:
Blogger’s Quilt Festival is for our online community! Young and old, all styles are welcome. There’s no judging, just inspiration with each and every click! I have timed it to coincide with Quilt Market in the fall and spring each year. Our festival runs for two weeks, with the opportunity for your quilts to be nominated to win by your peers.
I’ve really enjoyed this because of the focus on the story. I’ve been able to share some of my older quilts with this festival, take a look here, here, here, and here.
One of her new additions to the festival is prizes for folks in all sorts of categories…I’m sponsoring the ROYGBIV category (isn’t that perfect?!). The winner (voted upon by blog visitors) will win a registration to one of my online dyeing classes!
The next Festival will run October 26- November 9th, click here for more info:
