Yep, there’s ANOTHER home dec project on the list! When Logan came home from CSSSA and saw his spiffed up new bathroom:
His first words were “SO PRETTY!” He then took in every little feature, it was quite a cool moment. But then, he’s like “my room is the ugliest in the house, I want to spiff it up!!!”. Which was great, because it’s so cluttered in there I can’t even go IN! His Lego days are over, yet they are EVERYWHERE in there, and now he realized it was time for them to go! So all three of us spent a day re-organizing storage: I freed up a lot of plastic bins, Andrew freed up space in the garage, and Logan filled all those bins with legos which hubby is now going to store in the garage! As you may know, decorating with teens is a process – they want some crazy thing like a Pac-man maze painted on their wall, you want something understated and cool that goes with the lovely bamboo floor and purple curtain/custom bedskirt you just made last year, compromise is the story of the day! So where it stands is the room is a mess, and the plan is to paint the room green on the top, grey on the bottom with a white chair rail dividing the two. And he wants his computer facing into the room like an office. We’ve mapped it out on Ai, it appears to work there, let’s see if that really will work! Wish us luck!!!!
Here’s the current state of his bedroom:
