Well, Art, for Heaven’s Sake is done!
This show starts with a reception from 7-10 on Friday night. One of the reasons I wanted to make my new Indigo Shibori lamps is because of the night reception, they shone quite prettily!
Rain had been forecast for Saturday all week, and they were right! It poured most of the night and rained off and on all Saturday. My tent has sides that zip up, and we pulled up everything up off the ground. Unfortunately one of the lampshades was pulled up against the wall, and there were a couple of leaks; because the tent is under a pecan tree, the water was quite brown, so I had some damage. However, the show went on! Here’s what my booth looks like when everything has to fit under the tent:
The crowds were light, which meant I got to visit with my Auntie Robin and Uncle Tom who stopped by:
And one of my FMQ students needed one of my new cross body bags:
Luckily, by the end of the day the rain left us, and Sunday was a beautiful day! Sometimes this show can get really hot, but the weather Sunday was lovely, and we had lots of traffic! I ended up selling 2$ less than last year, so it was a successful show!
