One of the things I was able to get to on my to do list was more Shibori Indigo Dyed Scarves. I use a lovely scarf blank that is generously sized (17″ x 80″) and made from a light fabric that’s 70% cotton and 30% silk. The overall feel is that of a light cotton, which I find complements the natural color of indigo dyes, but there’s a lovely slight sheen to it from the silk! I was able to quickly take a few shots of them after washing and drying:
If you see one of these you HAVE to have, give me an email before the Open Studio this weekend and you can call dibs! These are $64 each plus priority mail shipping.
I absolutely LOVE seeing them blow in the breeze!

curious.. you said a mix of cotton/ silk… do you find that they need pressing between wearing occasions. I have ice dyed some with silk, and 100% rayon need iron touch up.. I like the silk better than the rayon.. Your pieces are beautiful and one of these days will try the Indigo.. It has such a special color, enjoy your blog and thank you for sharing.
