Wahoo! I finally got the pictures of the Wonky Tree Baby Quilt processed! I made this for my cousin Matt and his wife Dreya’s new baby Maia! This is an improvisationally pieced quilt made in the same manner as my first Wonky Tree quilt. Of course, it’s made with my hand dyed fabrics. Dreya told me they were decorating the nursery in grey/wood with lots of blues and greens and pops of fuschia, red and gold.

I’m really happy with how this improv pieced sun came out. Oftentimes what we see in our head doesn’t live up to reality, this time I was pleasantly surprised with how easy this was to make:
