I was able to get 2 commissions done last week! The first was a set of 3 large, square, charmeuse scarves for 3 fused glass artists who want to use these on their tables to help display their jewelry. They picked 3 of my hand dyed silk scarf palettes and asked me to dye the squares where the colors softly blended together with no sharp bands of colors. Here’s what I came up with:
They arrived at their destination on Saturday and I got an email from them saying: “The scarves came today and they are beautiful and exactly what we were looking for!” Hooray!
Next up was 2 dresses made from cotton gauze. Because the fabric was so light the dress is completely lined, so I was manipulating 4 layers of fabric rather than two, which made for less visual texture than I normally would do (unless specifically asked for less).
I’m anxious to hear if my client likes them! Fingers crossed!
