It’s been a whole week before I got time to process pix and write up this post, but here I am with a show report for our Redlands Area Artists’ Open Studio Tour! We had a rainy Friday, causing a bit of trepidation because here in SoCal, rain is like snow other places, it keeps people in! But, we had lovely weather all weekend long, hooray!
Both days started quite slowly, but then picked up. Saturday was a pretty even, steady spaced day, with one or two sets of visitors at a time. Sunday there were a couple of busy hours where I had several people all happily interacting and shopping, it was FUN!
So, when I call this an open studio, it’s a BIT of a mis-nomer, as I take over the entire first floor (well, not the powder room or the laundry room….)
I was able to get my actual studio all tidied up:
The living room was decked out:
The dining/music room gets totally taken over, hubby screws my scarf rack to the wall!
I’m really happy with how my ornament display boards worked out! They definately got the point across that they were for sale, 75% of them were gone by the end of the show!
The kitchen/family room was all tricked out, and the refreshments for my guests were there:
I got to introduce some new people to the concept of textile art and dyeing fabric, I got to visit with my local customers and share some holiday cheer with them, all in all, a very successful weekend!
