Tadah! Here’s the first of the two quilts I made for my cousin’s baby:
I based this quilt on the canvas quilt pattern developed by she can quilt. It allows me to celebrate the colors they picked for the nursery and emphasize the complementary-ness of the gold and purple!
It’s 39″ x 48″, the back for this one was the last thing I pieced, I simply surrounded one of the itjime pieces I had dyed with leftover yellow strips and then grey.
I used the walking foot to quilt wavy, organic lines. After I took those pictures, I washed and dried the quilt….oh the crinkly goodness!!!!
I can’t wait to give them to Jess and her hubby and THE BABY!!!

Nice crinkles! Did you use 100% cotton batting?
Thanks Linda! I used Hobb’s Heirloom fusible which is 80% cotton, 20% poly. It crinkles quite nicely!
