I had a great time making a couple of pillows for my couch the other day – but I needed one more to break up the symmetry!

I used a lot of little bits and pieces leftover from the feather piecing to construct 2 improv log cabin blocks that I then sewed into one rectangle:

I then used a new to me quilting pattern of leaves and lines that I saw on Vicki Welsh’s blog:

She in turn found the pattern on the blog A Few Scraps! I love how blogging spreads cool ideas around!

On the back of the pillows I use a contrasting flap to cover the zipper:

I love it!

Speaking of Vicki Welsh: she’s hosting a “real studio tour” for the next 3 weeks starting tomorrow – will you join us?

I love your new pillow! Isn’t that quilting motif cool?
Great pillows! I inspire them? I would not sew identical, but something like that will certainly loved my daughter…. 🙂
