I had a fun time at Make it University on Friday, I’ll tell you more about it tomorrow!
I really want to take a look at what I’ve gotta do this month, the last month of summer vacation – waaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!
I had a great email from a new blogger who pointed out how posting goals out in the world makes the motivation to do them stronger, and you know, that is true! Even if it takes a month, or 6, putting something out there that you want to accomplish actually does make you do it!
First, a look at how July went:

Considering I had some downtime due to vacation, a 3 day workshop for the day job and some sickness, I did pretty well.
I am most happy that I finally got that messenger bag pattern written! It was soooo much work, and I am sooooo glad it’s done, and I’m quite proud of it! 🙂
I also got a good start on a couple of new website assignments! And, I totally changed the way I do bookeeping! I sprung that little doozie on myself, LOL.

Yep, I’ve got a lot of making to do! And a lot of coding to do as well. I will NOT be taking on any more web design projects this month (hah! famous last words!)
Anyway, remember the chartreuse i dyed last week that I was a bit worried about? Well, I had a right to be – there was too much black (which is easy to do because there’s so little of it), and because I let the dye sit on the fabric a long while before massaging it, it travelled and concnetrated itself a bit, so I’ve got some chartreuse that isn’t really what I wanted. (whoa, I editted this picture on my small laptop, things are a bit exaggerated on this picture now that I’m back on the big display, but you get the idea):
It’s pretty, but the new yardage doesn’t fit in the jewel tone palette like the old one:

Goals posting, it really does help… and as you say, no matter how long it takes to actually get it done, done it does get. Hope your August is a great one Candy!
